Family Matters or Family Matters?

It was blood that had me questioning love

It was blood that had me questioning trust

It was blood that had me drowning in mistrust

Upon the waters, I watched my feet thrust

I lost my faith oceans deep

In trying to seek how deep is their love.

No blood ties could hold us in covenant

I saw love lie in confident

Pointing fingers held no one to their consequences

Mirror reflections only proved that neither of us was fair at all,

The family tree began to perish at the break of the bough.
